Vegas again.

Matt had a couple days off (finally),so he wanted to go on a little mini trip somewhere close with me and the kids. We were hoping for LA, but since he knows I can't go to So Cal without taking a trip to Disneyland, he decided against that. Actually, the flights filled up, but I'm sure the DLand thing was part of it. So, we ended up in Las Vegas. Vegas always seems like a good idea since its a short flight and hotels are cheap, but once we get there, we are at a loss of how to fill our time. We stayed at the Excalibur and spent 45 minutes in their Arcade for kids. Kate actually kills it when it comes to arcade games. Her first quarter won her an instant 50 tickets.

5 bucks later:

After that, we retired for the night. I think it was 8:00. The next day we puttered. It actually was pretty cool seeing the Bellagio garden all Christmasified.

We went to the M&M factory and let Kate buy some turquoise peanut M&Ms that cost basically 25 cents a piece. After that, the kids slept, we went to Circus Circus where Matt spent at least $2 trying for a smurf stuffed animal in one of those claw machines and then we went back to the airport. BTW, as ghetto as Circus Circus is, it really is the only place to take kids in Vegas.
Even though, it wasn't a lively trip, it was still fun to get away for a couple days. Plus, it was 50 degrees, which basically felt like 80 compared to Utah.

Oh, and we also learned on this trip that Zach is a terrible traveler. He was all over the place on the airplane and it was only 49 minutes. When Kate was his age, we took her to Boston and back, and she didn't make a peep or squirm for even a second. We still like him, though.

Ha! It's nice to hear that your kids are human. I swear they are the best travelers, remember when u would come and visit and just stuff Kate in the PAC n play in the kitchen and she would just sleep? Bless them.

Allie, I freaking love your posts. And by the way, my child would put even your squirmy one to shame. She is one of thee WORST travelers ever. Ug.
